Notes: Sam is a seventeen-year-old Hacker, one of the best around.  So good that he is able to hack into the telecomerica head offices and order a couple of "neuro" headsets for himself and his friend Fargas.  The latest technology that allows you to directly access the computer network using only your brain.  But Sam's hacking brings down services for three days - something that will go down in history.  That's when the CDD (the cyber defence division) start watching him.  It's not long before they hack Sam back and he's arrest...

Rubric Rating: Level 4: Love It Why I Read It: My husband scooped this book up first and highly recommended it. Lori's Notes: This was a fantastic read.  The book begins at the end and through the "Hero Archive" we see how Cormac Wallace and the "bright boy squad" have ended up in remote Alaska battling the AI - Archos.  The story is very well put together.  By using the Hero Archive, Cormac is able to piece together the stories of the various "heroes" Mathilda Perez, Takeo Namuro, Lonnie Wayne and Paul Blanton, Nine one Two, and the many others who were indispensable to human survival.  The events take place all over the world and by telling the story in retrospect we are a...
